Good work starts with a conversation.
Start with the desktop app. Bring the Claude Code, Codex or Gemini account you already have — Ginu adds no model access of its own.

A few things to have ready.
- One coding CLI, installed and signed in: Claude Code, Codex or Gemini. Ginu drives the one you pick and has no model access of its own.
- git, which memory, projects and Work are stored in. tmux 3.0 or newer, which Shell and the in-app CLI sign-in run on. Without tmux the rest still works and Shell says why it cannot open.
- Room for the speech models: the first run downloads a few gigabytes, and the prerequisites screen states the figure before it starts.
- Earphones, and separate devices for input and output. A wireless headset used as both drops macOS into call quality for the whole session, because Ginu holds the microphone open the entire time.
