Commands
Every command Ginu has, without leaving the message box.
What this page covers
OutcomeRun a direct action without leaving the conversation or opening a terminal.
Before you beginOpen Home. Browsing the command menu needs nothing running.
Follow these steps
Type
/in the conversation’s message box. The command menu opens over the composer and filters as you type, each command sitting beside its own description — there is nothing to memorise and no terminal to switch to.Use ↑↓ to move and Tab to complete a name and land on its argument. The argument is the half worth reading twice: the name chooses the action, the argument decides what it acts on.
Press Enter to run it or Escape to clear the menu. What a command prints appears both in the menu and in the conversation, so the result stays with the exchange that caused it.
Example
Type /, then start typing the action you need.
The menu filters as you type, with each command’s own description beside its name. Read the description before completing the name.
The name picks the action, the argument picks the target
A command name chooses what runs; the argument decides what it runs against. The argument is the half worth reading twice, especially when the command changes a permission or removes information — the name alone will not tell you what is about to be affected.
A dot marks the heavier commands. You can run any of them yourself from here; the dot means Ginu has to check with you before running one on its own initiative. Output stays in the conversation, so the result sits beside the exchange that caused it.
The menu is generated from your installed build, so it is the authoritative list — a newer build can carry commands this guide has never mentioned, described in its own words.
Notes
- A dot marks the heavier commands —
/swap,/permission,/remote,/mute. You can run any of them yourself; the dot means Ginu has to check with you before running one on its own. - The menu is built from the commands your installed build actually has, so it is the list. A newer build can carry a command this guide does not mention.
Check
You can complete a name with Tab, clear the menu with Escape, and say what a command’s argument will act on before you press Enter.
